Troy (2004)

Directed by Wolfgang Petersen, Troy is an epic historical drama based on Homer’s Iliad, set during the Trojan War. The film follows the legendary hero Achilles (Brad Pitt), whose unmatched skill in battle makes him both a revered and feared warrior. The story centers around the conflict between the Greeks and the Trojans, particularly focusing on the passionate love affair between Paris (Orlando Bloom), the prince of Troy, and Helen (Diane Kruger), the wife of Menelaus, which sparks the war.

As the Greeks lay siege to Troy, the fate of the city and its people is determined by larger-than-life figures like Hector (Eric Bana), the noble Trojan prince, and Agamemnon (Brian Cox), the ambitious Greek king. Achilles’ internal struggle, his pride, and his pursuit of glory bring him into conflict with those around him, including his own sense of loyalty and love.

With breathtaking battle sequences, stunning cinematography, and an all-star cast, Troy brings to life the ancient tale of love, betrayal, and heroism, while exploring the personal stories behind the legendary warriors of ancient Greece and Troy.
