In 19th-century Germany, a haunted young woman finds herself pursued by an ancient Transylvanian vampire.
—————-
An American gothic horror film titled “Nosferatu” is on the horizon, with Robert Eggers handling both the writing and directing duties. The movie features Bill Skarsgård in the lead role as the vampire. This rendition comes after the 1979 film “Nosferatu the Vampyre” and serves as the second remake of the 1922 German Expressionist classic with the same name. The original 1922 film, directed by F. W. Murnau and written by Henrik Galeen, was an “unauthorized and unofficial” take on Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, Dracula.
WHEN AND WHERE TO WATCH:
Nosferatu is set to hit THEATERS on DECEMBER 25, 2024, with a domestic release by Focus Features and an international release by Universal Pictures.
