Max ends Stranger Things season 4 essentially brain-dead, with Vecna having broken most of her limbs and blinded her. The character is saved from death by Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), but she’s certainly not out of the woods just yet. So far, there’s been no official word regarding what is to come for Max in Stranger Things season 5, but Sink did appear in a cast photo during a table read for the new episodes, meaning her character will return in some form. Worries that Max may not survive in season 5 were heightened after Sink was pictured attending the Stranger Things stage play in London. Season 5 is currently filming in Atlanta, and Sink being on another continent during production wasn’t a good sign. While this could suggest that Max won’t be in as many episodes as the rest of the main Stranger Things cast, it doesn’t necessarily mean her fate will be a grim one.
